Solar Chargers for Ukraine
Join the Boulder–Vinnytsia Sister City community for a meaningful morning of creativity, connection, and hands-on support for the people of Ukraine.
Solar Chargers for Ukraine, a special project of Sunflower Seeds Ukraine led in part by Sister City members Ulana Bihun, Andy Lenec and Doug Gardner, brings volunteers together to transform portable solar panels into functional chargers for essential devices like phones and laptops.
Participants will help assemble chargers and personalize them with artwork and messages of encouragement for their Ukrainian recipients. The event will also feature a live Zoom conversation with people in Ukraine, offering a powerful opportunity to connect across continents and see the human impact of this initiative.
We'll also be sharing the mission of the Boulder–Vinnytsia Sister City partnership and enjoying homemade Ukrainian pyrohy (varenyky), also known as pierogies!
Bring your friends, family, and a willingness to make a difference. No special skills are needed—just a desire to help.
Together, we can turn a few hours of our time into practical support, meaningful connections, and a reminder to our Ukrainian friends that they are not forgotten.
All are welcome. We hope to see you there!

Dine Out for Ukraine
Eat out at venues across the Front Range to raise funds for Ukraine.
When you dine at a restaurant or café from our growing list of venues, you support local businesses and the Ukrainian people.
Participating restaurants will donate a portion of the day's proceeds to support Sunflower Seeds Ukraine’s mission and help us to continue growing our impact.
DakhaBrakha
DakhaBrakha is a music quartet from Kyiv, Ukraine. Their “ethno chaos” sound spans years of performances prior to Russia’s 2022 invasion, but war is in everything now. They masterfully blend Ukrainian traditional music with influences from around the world, resulting in an unexpected new music.
